Pre-Tour 8 Notes

This could well be the hardest of all of the tours, emotionally, mentally, and theologically.

We are trying to help people to grasp, as best they can, the depth of the love of God that was demonstrated in the sacrifice Christ made for us. Since we are going to be touching on the infinite attributes of God, His omnipresence and omniscience in particular, be careful to make sure your guests don’t get wrapped around the axle trying to logically comprehend these things beyond a reasonable measure. Keep them focused in your discussion time upon the purpose of this: to be overwhelmed, not with infinite mysteries delving into the omnipresence of God, but by the eternal nature of His sacrifice for us and the depth of the love of God that has been demonstrated by Christ’s sacrifice.

Also, make sure you reaffirm to them that I am not saying that Christ is still separated from the Father, for certainly Jesus talked about being with the Father, ascending to Him, etc. Don’t let the enemy try to snatch away the beauty of the love of God by these distractions.

It would be wise to be in great prayer before, during and after this tour.
