Pre-Tour 2 Notes

We have created and filmed a couple of vignettes for Tour 2. They are placed within a typical family home, although as you will see, the vignette is a little “tongue-in-cheek”. Their purpose is to get us thinking about how we all have the belief that if we can just get our own way, our will, or as we will craft it: “our own script”, then we will be happy, pleasured, significant… all of the things we are hoping for. We’ve only had a few people that didn’t understand what it was about, so you may want to take a few seconds before tour starts and essentially tell them they will see a vignette in a home setting that is meant to help us understand how we all want to get our own way. You may want to tell them it is meant to be a little playful, but for the purpose of making a point. I hope they enjoy it!

It has been my experience that the Lord sometimes hits people hard when we talk about “our scripts” and the negative or unfruitful emotions that come from being invested so fully in those scripts. Be aware of this and take note of any guests that are struck deeply by this. It will be a clue for your prayers and for a possible, shepherding phone call during the week.
