Do not be Presumptuous
- Deuteronomy 17:8-13
17:8 If there arise a matter too hard for you in judgment, between blood and blood, between plea and plea and between stroke and stroke, being matters of controversy within your gates, then you will arise and get you up to the place which Jehovah your God will choose. 17:9 And you will come to the priests the Levites and to the judge who will be in those days, and you will inquire. And they will show you the sentence of judgment.
17:10 And you will do according to the tenor of the sentence which they will show you from that place which Jehovah will choose. And you will observe to do according to all that they will teach you, 17:11 according to the tenor of the law which they will teach you and according to the judgment which they will tell you, you will do. You will not turn aside from the sentence, which they will show you, to the right hand, nor to the left.
17:12 And the man who does presumptuously, in not listening to the priest who stands to minister there before Jehovah your God, or to the judge, even that man will die, and you will put away the evil from Israel. 17:13 And all the people will hear and fear and do no more presumptuously.
As taught above by the priests that God had ordained, The Israelites were to go and be taught of the things that God had put into command. So, we today are to go to Our High Priest and be taught of Him, that we are trained to teach others. We are to not be presumptuous in judgement but to give judgment to the one who judges all. Again, we must do according to what our Lord Has taught us and live by that judgment. But let us also remember not to be presumptuous as we go and teach. For we too will die and be cut from our people, if we think we can sin and live in that sin and still be saved.
God is good. Love you all
In the name of the most high God. Amen and Amen.
