  1. The Source Of Sin

    1. It comes from Satan - John 8:44; 1 John 3:8

    2. It comes From the lust of the flesh - Genesis 3:6; James 1:14-15

    3. It entered the world Because of Adam - Romans 5:12

    4. It proceeds from an evil heart - Matthew 15:19

    5. To know to do good, but to fail to do it, is sin - James 4:17

    6. When words are many, sin is not lacking - Proverbs 10:19

  2. Characteristics Of Sin

    1. It brings about shameful reproach - Proverbs 14:34

    2. It is known by the Law - Romans 3:20; 7:7

    3. Sin is transgression - 1 John 3:4

    4. All unrighteousness is sin - 1 John 5:17

    5. It is deceitful - Hebrews 3:13

    6. Some men’s sins are open beforehand - 1 Timothy 5:23-24

    7. Some others are hidden, but before God - 1 Timothy 5:24; Psalms 90:8

  3. Jesus Christ Alone Had no Sin

    1. He knew no sin - 2 Corinthians 5:21

    2. He was without sin - Hebrews 4:15

    3. He was holy, without sin, undefiled separate from sinners - Hebrews 7:26

    4. He did no sin or guile (deceit) 1 Peter 2:22

    5. In Him there is no sin - 1 John 3:5

  4. Christ Redeemed Sinners Through His blood

    1. The Lamb of God who tales away the sin of the world - John 1:29

  5. The Way Of Forgiveness Of Sins

    1. Aliens:

      1. They must believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God - John 8:24; Acts 16:31

      2. They must repent - Luke 24:46-47

      3. They must confess Jesus Christ as their Lord - Romans 10:6-10
        They must be baptized unto the remission of sis - Acts 2:38; Mark 16:15-16

    2. The people of God:

      1. They must confess their sins - 1 John 1:9; Luke 15:18

      2. They must repent - Acts 8:22

      3. They must pray - Acts 8:22

      4. They must walk in the light - 1 John 1:[7]

  6. Wicked People

    1. They are slaves of sin - John 8:34; Romans 6:16

    2. They are dead in their trespasses - Ephesians 2:1

    3. They add sin to sin - Isaiah 30:1

    4. Some cannot cease from sin - 2 Peter 2:14

    5. They have pleasure in (and or they agree with) these who commit sin - Romans 1:32

  7. People of God:

    1. They are freed from sin - Romans 6:18

    2. They are dead to sin - Roman 6:2; 1Peter 2:24

    3. They are unable to sin habitually - 1 John 3:9; 5:18

    4. They continually confess their sins - 1 John 1:8-10

    5. They are continually ashamed because of their sins - Romans 6:21

    6. They hate what is evil - Roman 12:9

    7. They separate themselves from sin - 2 Timothy 2:19

    8. They must put to death sin in their life - Colossians 3:5; Romans 8:13

    9. They pray that their sins may be forgiven - Luke 11:4

  8. The Punishment Of Sin:

    1. The earth was cursed because of sin - Genesis 3: 17-18

    2. Death entered into the world through sin - Romans 5:12

    3. The sting of death is sin - 1 Corinthians 15:36

    4. The soul that sins shall die - Ezekiel 18:4

    5. Sin brings forth eternal death - Romans 6:23; James 1:15

    6. It prevents people from entering heaven - Galatians 5:19-21; Ephesians 3:5; Revelation 21:27

    7. The punishment of sinners will be eternal - Matthew 25:41-46; Revelation 20:10, 15; 21:8
