Scripture Readings

1st Reader: Mike Mathis
Romans 1:28-32,

(0:04) The first scripture reading is from Romans 1 verses 28 through 32. (0:17) Romans 1 28 through 32. And I’ll be reading from the New King James Version.

(0:28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do things which are not fitting. (0:43) Being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness. (1:03) They are whispers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undeserving, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful. (1:33) The righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death. (1:43) Not only do the same, but also approve of those who practice them. That’s the scripture reading. (1:54)

2nd Reader: Roger Raines
Isaiah 1:16-20,

(1:59) Good morning. I’ll be reading from the book of Isaiah chapter 1 verse 16 through 20. (2:08) Isaiah 1:16 through 20.

(2:12) Wash yourselves. Make yourselves clean. Remove the evil from your deeds from my sight. Cease to do evil. Learn to do good. Seek justice. Reprove the ruthless. Defend the orphan. Plead for the widow. (2:30) Come now. Let us reason together, says the Lord. Though your sins are as a scarlet, they will be as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, they will be like wool. (2:45) If you consent and obey, you will eat the dust of the land. But if you refuse and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword. Truly, the mouth of the Lord hath spoken. (3:00) This concludes this reading. (3:02)

Preacher: Tom Freed

(3:07) Good morning. Good day, everybody. (3:11) A sermon called Stop the Insanity, which I kind of got from this infomercial from years ago. I don’t know if anybody remembers it, but I don’t know why that stuck in my head, but I don’t know.

I guess I thought it would be a good sermon title. (3:29) We do live in a crazy world and insane times in this day and age. Most of us have been around long enough to witness the moral decay of this country.

(3:45) We are at one time a Christian nation founded on Christian beliefs, but now we’re headed in the exact opposite direction. (3:55) Like I said, I mean, I haven’t been around that long, but a lot of us have been around longer. We can see before our eyes over the years how much this country has changed, how much sin, how much evil.

(4:08) Yeah, we’re becoming a nation of evil, even more by the minute. If we don’t change our course, we’re headed for destruction. (4:17) We don’t resemble the Christian nation.

There’s over a million abortions each year. That’s higher than all the troops that died in all the wars combined every single year. (4:33) We’re wiping out generations.

High divorce rates, homosexuality, fornication, drug use, disobedient kids, murder, pornography, gluttony, corruption, drinking, partying, the list goes on. (4:52) We live in a time where evil is called good. Isaiah 520.

Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. (5:08) They call abortion good. They ran a whole political campaign with their main point for abortion.

They call Christians bad. If you stand up for God’s word, they call you evil now. (5:25) The more you get caught up in sin and lawlessness, the more lawless and depraved you become.

(5:34) 1 John 3.4. Everyone who makes a practice of sinning also practices lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.

Matthew 24.12. (5:52) We can see that in this world today. There are many cold, uncaring people. The more we sin, the more hardened our heart gets and the colder we get.

I’ve noticed this in my life. (6:04) Even as a Christian, if I start to sin and do wrong, I start to get a hard heart and grow cold. (6:11) Many people would rather pull out their cell phones and film somebody in danger, sick or dying and post it on social media to help them out.

(6:22) Some people will still help, but a lot of people, if they see somebody on the ground, they’ll step right over them. They don’t care. (6:30) The longer we sin and turn away from God’s word, the more corrupt and deranged you become.

(6:38) As a Christian, we even struggle with sin. (6:44) Sin does affect you mentally, physically, and spiritually. It affects you in every way.

(6:51) If we continue long enough and turn away from God’s word, He will give us over to a depraved mind. (6:59) The exact thing that has happened thousands of years ago is happening today in this country right before our eyes. (7:07) We’ll go to Romans 1, 18-20 to start.

(7:12) I’ll go through a few verses in Romans. (7:18) The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all godliness and wickedness of men. (7:25) Suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known above God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.

(7:35) For since the creation of the world, God’s invisible qualities, His eternal power and divine nature have clearly been seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. (7:52) We can see it’s obvious. God made it obvious.

(7:56) In the visible beauty, order, and operations observable in the constitution and parts of the universe, especially His eternal power and universal dominion and providence. (8:09) So they cannot plead ignorance and excuse of their idolatry and wickedness. (8:17) If you look into it, God has given us enough evidence, an overwhelming amount of evidence to show that He is the creator of this world and universe.

(8:30) Psalms 19, 1-2. (8:32) The heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork. (8:37) Day into day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge.

(8:42) You can look at the stars. (8:45) You can go walk through the woods and see God everywhere, how creative He is. (8:52) The creation, even Carol says when she goes shopping and sees flowers, she’ll say to somebody, look at how beautiful these are.

(9:01) Can you believe that people don’t believe there’s a God? (9:03) It’s an insult to God to believe that He doesn’t exist with how creative He is, all the things He’s made. (9:11) Let’s continue in Romans 1-23. (9:17) For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him.

(9:21) But their thinking became futile, and their foolish hearts were darkened. (9:26) Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools in exchange of glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. (9:39) But look how foolish we have become in this day and age, rejecting creation for a man-made fairy tale about how the universe began and with evolution.

(9:51) Instead of worshiping images of animals and man, the new religion of today is atheism and their belief system of evolution. (10:02) It is pure insanity to believe that this universe, this world finally tuned, just came out of nothing. (10:11) How many brilliant scholars, scientists, biologists and even astrophysicists and even others have become fools believing in made-up lies.

(10:25) We can’t observe or recreate evolution in the Big Bang. It’s not science. (10:33) It takes more faith to believe in evolution than it does in Christianity.

(10:40) And the fool says in his heart, there is no God. (10:44) Psalm 14-1 (10:46) These brilliant people have become fools. (10:50) They’re over-educated.

(10:53) Continue in Romans 1-24-27. (10:57) Therefore, God gave them over the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity and the degrading of their bodies of one another. (11:07) They exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator, who is forever praised.

(11:16) Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. (11:20) Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. (11:24) In the same way, men also abandoned their natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another.

(11:33) Men committed indecent acts with other men and received in themselves due penalty for their perversion. (11:42) This is exactly what is happening today. (11:46) Women and men are inflamed with lust for one another.

(11:52) This generation upcoming is the gayest generation ever. (11:57) There’s more people turning gay than there ever has been. (12:02) It started with wanting equal rights and being able to have same-sex marriage.

(12:07) But now it’s turned into full-blown depravity. (12:11) They have public parades in the streets with men and women half-naked and some even exposing themselves while simulating sexual acts. (12:22) They’re throwing it in our face and even forcing it on our children with homosexual literature and even drag queen story hour at some schools.

(12:32) In California, Gavin Newsom signed a law barring schools from requiring that parents be informed that their child is going through gender transition. (12:43) Can you imagine that? (12:45) Their kid comes home and he’s on gender transition drugs and they don’t even tell you about it? (12:52) Schools should be teaching children reading, writing, and arithmetic. (12:55) Not giving student sex changes behind parents' backs.

(13:01) Also, even in this area, there’s gender-neutral bathrooms. (13:07) You know, the other day my sister told me in Amherst they have those. (13:11) Even one story from somebody at work where his child goes to school at, (13:17) one of the children thinks they’re a cat and they let him believe this.

(13:23) You know, you’re not doing the kids any favor. You’re ruining the youth. (13:27) It’s pure insanity.

(13:30) And many schools are nothing more than far-left communist indoctrination camps. (13:36) They’re not destroying the youth. (13:39) I think it’s by design.

They want to destroy the country and they’re going after the children. (13:45) So, continuing with Romans 1, 28-32, (13:51) Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, (13:56) he gave them over to an appraised mind (13:59) to do what ought not to be done. (14:02) They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed, and depravity.

(14:08) They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, and malice. (14:11) They are gossipers, slanders, God-haters, insolent, arrogant, and boastful. (14:18) They invent ways of doing evil.

(14:20) They disobey their parents. They are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. (14:26) Although they know God’s righteous decree (14:29) that those who do such things deserve death, (14:33) they not only continue to do these very things, (14:36) but also approve of them who practice them.

(14:41) Does this not describe our day and age right now and how people act? (14:47) People are heartless, ruthless, and God-haters (14:50) at a level we’ve never even seen. (14:56) This is exactly what is described in the last days. (14:58) 2 Timothy 3, 1-5.

(15:03) But mark this, there will be terrible times in the last days. (15:06) People will be lovers of themselves. (15:09) Lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents.

(15:15) Ungrateful, unholy, without love. (15:17) Unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control. (15:22) Brutal, not lovers of good.

(15:25) Treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God. (15:31) Having a form of godliness but denying its power. (15:35) Have nothing to do with them.

(15:38) So we can see that when you head down this path of sin, (15:44) especially sexual sin, that you become depraved. (15:47) All these things happen and we can see it happening in this country. (15:51) The last days is a common designation in the Old Testament of the Messianic Age.

(15:56) The time after the coming of the Christ into the world. (16:01) We’re in the last days. (16:03) Could be even the final days.

(16:06) Christ could come back tomorrow, we don’t know. (16:08) Seems like the end of days the Bible talks about. (16:13) But the Christian dispensation has been called the last days also.

(16:19) Just like they dealt with these problems thousands of years ago, (16:22) we’re dealing with the exact same thing today. (16:27) There’s nothing new under the sun. Ecclesiastes 1-9.

(16:31) What has been will be again. (16:35) What has been done will be done again. There’s nothing new under the sun.

(16:40) Any sin that we probably commit or anything that happens (16:43) has probably already happened. It all starts with denying God (16:49) and going away from his love. The further we stray from the Bible (16:53) and sin, the more insane things start to get.

(16:58) We can look to Rome as an example. Just like the verses we just read. (17:04) You see that Rome fell from great heights in this country.

(17:08) We’ve got to do the same thing because of sinning against God. (17:13) We’re falling the same way Rome fell (17:15) for many of the same reasons. We don’t change our way (17:19) while they have the same exact fate.

We have too strong of a military (17:26) to be attacked head on. (17:29) We’re being conquered within. The Soviet leader (17:34) many years ago said they won’t even fire a bullet and conquer our nation.

(17:39) That seems to be what’s happening today. (17:44) You can see from history that God destroyed his evil nations (17:47) even if it’s his own chosen people like he did with Israel. (17:51) Isaiah 1-10.

(17:55) Hear O heaven, listen O earth, for the Lord has spoken. (18:00) I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me. (18:04) The ox knows his master, the donkey knows (18:09) the donkey his owner’s manger, but Israel does not know.

(18:14) My people do not understand. (18:16) Alas, sinful nation, a people loaded with guilt, (18:20) a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption. (18:24) They have forsaken the Lord, they have spurned the Holy One of Israel (18:28) and turned their backs on him.

Why should you be beaten (18:33) anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? (18:37) Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted. (18:41) For the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no (18:45) soundness. Only wounds and welts and open sores.

(18:49) Not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with oil. (18:53) Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire. (18:57) Your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you.

(19:00) Laid waste as when overthrown by strangers. (19:05) Can’t we see this exact thing happening right now? (19:09) California is burning with fire. (19:12) Maui was set on fire.

There’s foreigners flooding this country. (19:17) Taking our resources, stripping our land (19:20) right before us. Just like they did with Israel when they (19:23) turned their back on God.

Continuing with Isaiah 1 (19:27) 8-10. The daughter of Zion is left like a shelter (19:31) in a vineyard. Like a hut in a field of melons.

(19:35) Like a city under siege. Unless the Lord Almighty (19:39) had left some of us survivors, we would have become like (19:43) Sodom. We would have been like Gomorrah.

(19:48) Hear the word of the Lord, you rulers of Sodom. Listen to your law. (19:52) To the law of your God, you people of Gomorrah.

(19:56) He’s calling Israel Sodom and Gomorrah. (20:00) He’s right. We need to look to those cities.

(20:04) We can see from the history of the Bible (20:09) how depraved you can become from (20:12) sexual sin and disobedience to God. (20:15) We’ve all heard the story where God sent two of his angels down to check (20:20) on Sodom. And when they arrived, they stayed at (20:24) Lot’s house.

Lot begged them to come into his house because he knew (20:27) how evil the city was. While there, the (20:33) men of the city, both young and old, from every corner came to the house to have sex (20:37) with them. Can you imagine that? You visit a city (20:42) and everybody in the village comes to rape you? (20:45) That’s the ultimate depravity.

(20:49) They tried to break down the door, but the angels struck them with blindness. (20:52) Genesis 19, 11. And they struck the men (20:57) who were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great.

(21:02) So they became weary trying to find the door. (21:07) Even though they were struck with blindness, it did not stop them (21:11) from the depravity of their sexual sin. (21:14) They were still trying to find the door, growing weary (21:18) trying to get at it, to commit these unthinkable acts.

(21:23) Could you imagine even being blinded and not stopping (21:26) in sin? You’d think that’d turn most people away. (21:32) But these people were hell-bent on committing (21:35) these acts. This is what sin taken to the (21:39) extreme can do.

You cannot get any more (21:44) insane or depraved than this. Look at what addiction does to (21:49) people. You know, some people are so (21:53) deep in addiction and want that next high, even (21:57) when they die from a drug overdose and are revived, they go back (22:01) to using again.

I’ve seen this with people I’ve known (22:06) over the years. My one friend (22:09) died multiple times and was revived and (22:13) continued using and finally died for good and was thrown in the ditch. (22:17) That’s not the way you should be living your life.

(22:22) You know, these people care about pleasing the flesh (22:25) and when you get that deep in addiction, you can’t turn away. (22:30) The Lord rained down fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah, (22:34) wiping them off the face of the earth. And He’ll do the same (22:38) with the ungodly on the Day of Judgment, 2 Peter 3.7 (22:43) But by the same word, the heavens and the earth (22:46) that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept (22:50) until the Day of Judgment and destruction of the ungodly.

(22:55) Look at 2 Peter 3.10, but the day of the Lord will come like a thief (23:01) and then the heavens will pass away with a roar (23:03) and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved (23:07) and the earth and the works that are done in them will be exposed. (23:12) So on the final day, God’s going to burn up (23:15) the sinners in fire, just like He did with Sodom and Gomorrah. (23:20) The Christians will be saved.

(23:23) You saw this in the flood when God wiped out mankind for its evil. (23:29) Genesis 6.5, then the Lord saw (23:31) that the wickedness of man was great in the earth (23:35) and that every intent of the thought of the heart was evil continually. (23:41) We can see He wiped these people out like with Sodom and Gomorrah (23:43) because of the evil they were doing.

(23:47) All their thoughts continually were evil. (23:52) God is coming back at a time we don’t expect, just like during the flood. (23:57) Matthew 24.36-39 (23:59) But concerning that day and hour, no one knows, (24:04) not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, (24:07) but the Father only.

For as were the days of Noah, so will be (24:12) the coming of the Son of Man. For in those days before the flood (24:16) they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage (24:21) until the day when Noah entered the ark. (24:23) And they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away.

(24:27) So will be the coming of the Son of Man. (24:31) So you can see, just like in the days of Noah, (24:35) they were going about their normal business, eating, drinking, having marriages. (24:40) So it wasn’t like it was obvious it was coming, just like now.

(24:43) It could come at any time. (24:48) Just as God spared Noah and his family for their righteousness during the flood, (24:52) He will spare Christians on Judgment Day. (24:55) 1 Peter 3, 20-21.

We disobeyed long ago (25:01) and God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. (25:07) And in only a few people, (25:09) eight in all were saved through water. And this water symbolizes (25:13) baptism that now saves you also.

Not the removal (25:17) of the dirt from the body, but the pledge of a good conscience (25:21) towards God that saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (25:28) So we can see, just like they were saved (25:31) through water, we are also. It’s a great (25:35) symbolism.

We’re saved through the obedience to God’s (25:39) Word. The final step of baptism. (25:43) We were saved by water and received the Holy Spirit.

(25:48) Jesus answered, most assuredly I say to you, (25:51) unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. (25:57) So just like the time of Noah, Sodom and Gomorrah, (26:02) and even with Israel, God’s chosen people, (26:05) we can see that they were all destroyed because of their sin against God. (26:10) If this country doesn’t change its ways, (26:13) we’ll meet the same fate.

(26:15) But the good news is there is a solution. (26:20) Looking at the later verses in Isaiah, (26:24) Isaiah 1, 16 through 17, (26:28) wash yourselves, make yourselves clean, (26:31) put away the evil of your doings from before my eyes, cease to do evil, (26:37) learn to do good, seek justice, rebuke the oppressor, (26:40) defend the fatherless, plead for the widow. (26:45) This is exactly what God tells us (26:47) pure religion is in the New Testament.

(26:51) Pure and undefiled religion before God and the Father is this, (26:54) to visit orphans and widows in their trouble, (26:57) and to keep one unspotted from the world, James 1, 27. (27:01) The same thing he told them is what he tells us. (27:06) Continuing with Isaiah 1, 18 to 20, (27:12) come now and let us reason together, says the Lord.

(27:15) Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow. (27:19) Though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (27:23) If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land.

(27:28) But if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured by the sword, (27:31) for the mouth of the Lord is spoken. (27:35) Doesn’t get any simpler than that. (27:37) If you are obedient to God’s word, you will prosper, (27:40) and if you oppose God, you will be destroyed.

(27:44) Psalm 1, 1-3, Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, (27:49) nor stands in the paths of sinners, (27:52) nor sits in the seat of the scornful. (27:56) But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and his law he meditates day and night. (28:00) He will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, (28:04) that brings forth its fruit in its season, (28:08) whose leaf also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper.

(28:15) If we’re constantly reading the Bible, (28:17) doing God’s will, we’re going to prosper, especially as a nation. (28:21) That’s why this country, I believe, has prospered (28:24) throughout time. Paul was blinded on the road to Damascus (28:31) for persecuting the church, just like the men (28:35) of Sodom were blinded for their sins.

(28:39) But instead of continuing with his sin, (28:42) and hardening his heart, he fasted, prayed, and repented. (28:49) That’s what all of us should do. You would think if you were blinded for your sin, (28:53) you’d change your ways.

He ended up going for (28:56) persecuting God’s church, and being chief of all sinners (29:01) to one of the greatest Christians to ever walk the earth. (29:08) It’s up to us as Christians to stand up (29:11) for what is right, and make changes in this country, just like (29:15) Paul did in his time. (29:19) Don’t sit around and hope a politician, preacher, teacher, or someone else (29:23) will do it for you.

It’s up to us, (29:27) the true church of God to make the change. (29:30) You know, it’s great if somebody did. (29:34) You know, we have a new president, and there are many people (29:38) who think that he’s going to do great things, (29:41) and I really hope he does, but we can’t put all our cards in that.

(29:45) I wouldn’t bet on it. We need to make the change. We need to do (29:49) what’s right.

We can’t let somebody else sit back. We can’t sit back on our hands (29:53) and do nothing and hope somebody else does it. (29:57) The only thing necessary for the triumph (30:00) of evil is that good men do nothing.

(30:03) That’s a great quote. Good men aren’t doing nothing in this country. (30:08) We’re just sitting back and letting evil run (30:12) wild.

You know, we shouldn’t be sitting around. (30:17) We should be letting our light shine to the world. Matthew 5, (30:21) 13-16, you are the salt of the earth.

(30:25) But if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? (30:30) It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out (30:32) and trampled underfoot by men. You are the light of the world. (30:36) A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden, nor (30:40) do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, (30:45) and it gives light to all who are in the house.

But (30:48) your lights so shine before men that they may see your good works (30:53) and glorify your Father in heaven. (30:57) We need to stand up. We need to (31:01) do good works.

Let our light shine. (31:04) We need to stop being afraid of evil and stand up for what is right. (31:10) The wicked should flee from us.

(31:12) Proverbs 28-1. The wicked flee when no one pursues, (31:17) but the righteous are bold as a lion. (31:20) We need to not be afraid to offend people.

(31:25) We need to not be afraid to (31:27) stand up and speak up for what is right. (31:31) We need to be like the early apostles who spoke the word of the Lord boldly, (31:35) even in the face of death. Acts 14-3.

(31:39) Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, (31:44) who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, (31:46) granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands. (31:51) Preach the word. Be prepared in (31:54) season and out of season.

Correct, rebuke, and encourage (31:59) with great patience and careful instruction. 2 Timothy (32:02) 4-2. We need to preach.

They want to (32:06) hear it or not. It is a sin to do nothing when you know to do (32:12) good. Therefore to him that knows to do good and does not (32:16) do it to him it is a sin.

James 4-17. (32:22) We need to not be scared to stand up for what is right. (32:27) We might not think we can do much, (32:30) especially with a small church, but that couldn’t be (32:34) farther from the truth.

There was only twelve apostles and they turned the (32:38) world upside down. Acts 17-6. (32:42) But when they did not find them, they dragged Jason and some (32:46) brethren to the ruins of the city crying out.

These who have turned (32:50) the world upside down have come here too. We have more than (32:54) twelve. You know, it’s a difficult (32:58) task, but we can do it.

There’s more. You know, there’s a lot (33:03) of Christians in this world. We need to stand up.

(33:08) Just a small group of Christians preach the gospel to every (33:11) creature under heaven. Colossians 1-23. (33:15) If indeed you continue in the faith, broaden and (33:18) steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you have heard, (33:23) which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, (33:27) became a minister.

They did it the hard way. (33:31) They didn’t have cell phones, the internet, TV. (33:34) They did it on horseback and camel and on foot.

(33:42) It only takes one man to preach the word of God (33:46) to a whole city to have them repent. Jonah was told by God (33:50) to go to Nineveh and tell them that they would be destroyed if they didn’t repent. (33:56) He didn’t want to go at first, but was (33:58) convinced when he was thrown overboard and stuck in a whale for three days.

(34:05) When he finally preached to the nation, they all repented (34:08) in sackcloth and ashes, from the least to the greatest, (34:12) even the king. Jonah 3-10. (34:16) Then God saw their works, that they turned (34:19) from their evil way.

And God relented from the disaster (34:23) that he had, that he had said he would bring upon them. (34:28) And he did not do it. But because Jonah preached to these (34:33) people, and they repented, God (34:37) relented from destroying them.

I think (34:41) that nation ended up destroying Israel because of their (34:45) evil later on. All it takes is one (34:49) person to stand up and preach the word of God, and this whole nation (34:53) can be brought to repentance like Nineveh. (34:58) It only takes one person.

(35:01) One man can make a huge difference. Let’s not sit back (35:05) and do nothing, hoping that somebody else will do the job for us. (35:10) Like I said, a small group, even one person (35:13) can make a huge difference in the world.

(35:17) We have no excuse. We are all thoroughly equipped for every good work. (35:22) All scripture is given by inspiration of God.

(35:25) And it is profitable for doctrine, for (35:29) reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, (35:32) that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. (35:38) 2 Timothy 3, 16-17. (35:41) God has equipped us.

He has given us even the Holy Spirit. (35:47) We live in an insane world, and the only place (35:50) you will find true peace is coming to Jesus. (35:55) You can see this with Legion, who was possessed by demons (35:58) and driven insane.

When Jesus sent the (36:01) 2,000 unclean spirits out of him, he finally had peace and was in his (36:06) right mind. Matthew 5, 15. Then they came (36:10) to Jesus and saw the one who had been demon-possessed (36:14) and had the Legion sitting enclosed (36:18) in his right mind, and they were afraid.

(36:22) If you want to be in your right mind and avoid the (36:26) insanity of this world, you will be at Jesus' feet. (36:31) This is the only way to have true joy and peace. (36:34) Philippians 4, 7. And the peace of God which surpasses (36:38) all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ.

(36:42) The choice is before us. (36:46) You can choose life or death. It’s up to you.

(36:50) Deuteronomy 30, 19-20. (36:55) I call heaven and earth to witness against you today that I have set before you (37:00) life and death, blessings and (37:03) curses. Therefore choose life, (37:07) that you and your offspring may live, loving the Lord (37:10) your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, (37:14) for he is your life and length of days, (37:18) that you may dwell in the land that the Lord swore to your fathers, to (37:22) Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob to give to them.

(37:27) Those same promises hold true to us today. (37:32) We can come back and be healed and prosper (37:36) as a nation and people or continue down the path (37:40) of destruction. Psalm 37, 9. (37:45) For the evildoers shall be cut off, but those who (37:48) wait for the Lord shall inherit the land.

(37:52) You shall be cut off from the land and even worse from God eternally (37:56) if you do not repent and obey his word. (38:01) They will suffer the same punishment of eternal destruction. (38:06) Away from the presence of the Lord and from his glory and (38:09) might.

2 Thessalonians 1, 9. (38:15) Separate from God in eternal darkness. It’s up to us. (38:20) You know, we need to turn the nation around.

(38:23) We need to do what we can, even if it’s something small, even if it’s just talking (38:26) to your neighbor about God. You know, if we don’t, we’re going to (38:32) meet the same fate as all these other nations that rebelled against God, (38:37) God’s word. It is pure insanity to (38:42) reject the free gift of eternal life and spend eternity in hellfire.

(38:47) Romans 6, 23. For the wages of sin is death, (38:51) but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our (38:54) Lord. As far as I know, (38:58) everybody here is a Christian.

If you do need our (39:02) prayers or even want to come forward with good news, now is the time. (39:07) Amen.
