Concluding exhortation to be faithful

13:1-7 Exhortation to stedfast perseverance and fidelity
1 Let brotherly love continue
2 Do not forget to entertain strangers
3 Remember the prisoners as if chained with them
4 Marriage is honorable among all
5 Let your conduct be without covetousness
6 The Lord is my helper
7 Remember those who rule over you
13:8-16 Exhortation to stability in Christian doctrine and practice
8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever
9 Do not be carried away by strange doctrines
10 We have an altar from which those who serve at the tabernacle have no right to eat
11 [a sacrifice] whose blood is brought into sanctuary by high priest is burned outside the camp {and not eaten}
12-14 Jesus with his own blood suffered outside the camp, let us go to him outside the camp
15,16 Let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God
13:17-19 Our duties to overseers
17 Obey those who rule over you and be submissive
18,19 Pray for us to have a good conscience & that we might be restored to you sooner
13:20,21 An earnest benedictory prayer in behalf of the Hebrews
20 May God who brought up Jesus from the dead through the blood of the covenant
21 Make you complete (perfect) in every good work to do His will
13:22-25 Closing Remarks
22 I appeal to you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words
23 Timothy has been set free
