How Does a Christian Deal With Sin?

Here’s a Clue

Romans 4:7-8

7 "Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered;
8 blessed is the man against whom the Lord will not count his sin."

Psalms 32:1-5

  1. Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.

  2. Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

  3. For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

  4. For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up as by the heat of summer. Selah

  5. I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, "I will confess my transgressions to the Lord," and you forgave the iniquity of my sin…​

Who Determines What’s Moral?

Who determines what is right or wrong? Is there such a thing as morality? If so, who determines what is moral and what isn’t?

  • Any one individual?

  • A family of individuals?

  • A group of individuals?

  • A nation of individuals?

  • The consensus of all individuals?

  • A majority of individuals?

From a naturalistic point of view, concerning the electrochemical reactions that are living things, whose electro-chemical processes are any better or worthy of making a moralistic determination than any other individual’s processes?

However, from God’s point of view, God, the Creator, reserves that right for Himself,

Isaiah 45:18-19

18 For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens (he is God!), who formed the earth and made it (he established it; he did not create it empty, he formed it to be inhabited!):

"I am the Lord, and there is no other. 19 I did not speak in secret, in a land of darkness; I did not say to the offspring of Jacob, 'Seek me in vain.' I the Lord speak the truth; I declare what is right.
