Dear Brothers and Sisters at West Side Church of Christ:

After many prayers and discussions with my family, I have decided to announce my retirement to be effective March 2, 2020.

Age has become my enemy. Age affects individuals differently. In my case I am becoming intolerant. Intolerance does not compliment one who is older and should know better. I know I do not wear intolerance well at all. I do not want to be remembered for my intolerance. And, there is the thirty minute drive to and from Cleveland that is becoming more of a challenge for me. I never thought I would be saying this since I drive school bus every day.

I have enjoyed serving the West Side congregation. I have no idea how many years it has been. I do not keep track of those things.

Because of the distance, Sandy and I will worship with one of the several congregations here in the Lorain area.

I want you to know how happy I was to be able to work with everyone over the years at West Side.

May God continue to bless you and your work there.
